Hey Tim, thanks for your comment on Violet Bushel. It most certainly isn't my favorite pic, and thank-you for pointing out some of its many "need of improvement" areas. I'll work on my picture editing skills. :) Thanks again. Ashley

Hello Tim, thank you for your comment on "A Place For A Walk". I took that shot from the road looking down on the subject. But I like your idea of a helicopter.

Just wanted to say great gallery, man! You've got some great shots starting to fill up. Coming from someone who shoots a lot of waterfalls, I have to say I'm really drawn to your shots that incorporate different shutter speeds...especially your night shots. I'm definitely looking forward to more..I think I'll have to add ya ;)

Hello, thanks for commenting on Smoky Snow; I appreciate it. :-)

I don't post many photography shots and they tend to be manipulations -- I enjoy that, and I suppose it's a bit of a smoke screen between my personal photos and the rest of the world. In my gallery there's another, coarser shot along the same lines (Trees in Driving Snow) -- have sometimes thought of removing it, but am quite fond of it.

You have some amazing photographs, the detail in Orion's Belt is wonderful. I have a lot of practice to do before I can achieve anything like that. :-)

You wrote: "you turned an ordinary seen into something extraordinary!" I like that concept. That's what we all should strive for in our photography. I have found that HDR goes a long ways towards acheiving that.

Hey Tim..thanks for commenting on "Horses and Sky"...I too was thinking that having the horse on the left third of the shot, instead of the right third, would help the comp because of the way the horse is facing. I've got a bunch more shots, but the sky and positioning of the white horse was just right in this one....thanks, as always for your thoughts!!

Hey, what's up Tim...thanks for commenting on "Gettysburg"...it's interesting, I got a lot of mixed opinions about the orange filter. I agree that it's not realistic, especially the way the color is uniformly graduated like you said, but I'm ok with a sense of unrealistic, because it sort of goes together with the history of the place in a weird kind of way. I'm hoping that when there's more of a cloud cover that this filter will be a bit more realistic, but it's definitely something fun to play around with.
