I'm still not quite happy with the level of pixelation in "Blue Faction". I think I'll do a new version from scratch, which shouldn't take long now that I have woorked out the steps. I find the best way to make an image look really clean is to do it at 200% and then shrink it down. Anyway, thanks for the comment and look out for more soon.

Hey Robert, thank you so much for your encouraging comment on my latest image "Santorini Cliffs" , I appreciate it. Santorini is my favorite of the islands, the view is just amazing. Thankyou for commenting on 'Hong Kong - Not Pretty' Robert, and you are quite correct in what you say in that there are poor living conditions in all parts of the world. I live in New Zealand and consider myself very fortunate but do not close my eyes to reality either here or anywhere else. Interestingly, about that housing in HK is that it is not only unfortunate people who live there, and with the shortage of housing many think themselves lucky to live in these buildings. We had a tour guide one day there who lived in just such acommodation, well educated, and like most residents immaculately presented, despite sharing communal washing and bathroom facilities etc.I have a young Chinese friend whose mother recently took her grandfather there to visit relatives. He is elderly and frail and can not climb stairs, and was disappointed to discover many buildings like that are without lifts. Some of his elderly friends and family have not left their apartments for years due to that fact. I thought that was remarkably sad that he was unable to see them.
If my picture served to remind some of us of our good fortune in having more space and privacy then that is good.
LOL, I certainly did not expect it to score highly on the c-index (and how right I was :) ) but did not expect so many comments either.
Eve :)

Your stopping by my picture led me to your Gallery - your work is exceptional.

Hey groo2k! I have a bit of a... request? I'm a huge fan of the Christmas tree and snowflake designs. Ever thought of making images for the rest of the seasons? I would totally dig a fall leaves design in the same style as the snowflakes.
