Thanks for your comment on "Blue Flower" and welcome to Caedes. Your Oregon Coast is quite nice. And I would agree that God looks at what we call our "Creations" and smiles. We create a cell phone and marvel at what we have made. God creates life and wonders why we don't appreciate the beauty that we will never master. We create war and call it peacemaking. God sends his son and is saddened we turn away. Thus is the nature of man. Andrew

Hi Dan. Thanks so much for the nice comment left on A Fine Mesh Of Things. ;) It's the work of many filters. I wish I could do tutorials but my work is more trial and error than it is professional.

Hey Dan,
Nice shot here, at first I thought it was black n white then I realized what it was. It just had to be a west coast shot with all them there mountains......John

Hi Dan. I'm glad you like my "Ovens" image of the New Orleans cemetery. The cemeteries are full of good stuff, and when the weather is right like on the foggy day when I visited, you can get some really compelling images. Thanks.

Thanks Dan for taking the time to view and comment on my Grist Mill image. I cherish your remarks and support of my images. Your right about the spelling, I just had a brain fart when I posted this. I use a KonicaMinolta DiMAGE A200.

Thanks for commenting on Special Circumstances.. I do appreciate it.. They aren't very hard to do.. You download the program and play with it till you find something you like..There is a list of programs in the faq's I don't seem to be able to make links right .. I use Fractal Explorer, Tierazon and several other programs.. All free downloads.. I had never made one till last spring.. April 2005.. They are fun and addictive..

Hi Dan, thanks for visiting Mills in the fog.
I use a Canon EOS 350D. This particular photo was with a 18-55 mm standard lens.
Thanks for the interest!

Hello Dan,
thanks for your kind words on the Mill in the fog.
My camera is a Canon 350D with two lenses, 15-55mm and 50-200 mm lens.
I don't use any filters, I believe in the computer age they have become obsolete. Actually I shoot everything on manual mode with the contrast set to a minimum and often in RAW mode. And then I do everything on the PC that most people expect to happens within the camera.
Thanks for your interest, p.s. what equipment do you use?

Hi Dan. Thanks for commenting on spire, reflected. You asked about the black area. Two reasons: the image was shot in portrait orientation and it was impossible to crop to landscape orientation without spoiling it. So I added the black canvas to provide space on the left for desktop icons, which is the original (though it's now broader) idea behind this site. Cheers - Dave

Dan thanks for your comments on "Reveries of Mountain Stream and Old Roots." I appreciate your thoughts about it. I have found that looking at Caedes on different computers....depending i guess on the setting of the monitor...the picture quality changes a good deal....at home i have a nvidea graphics card set to high color.... the washed out and detail quality you described may actually have been what i intended and resulted after I put it through a photo editing program to make it look more like a watercolor... thanks for your comments... Sunsets - Thanks, Dan. I appreciate your kind comments. Buck Lake is in Southeastern
Ontraio, Canada. Due North of upstate New York.
I live on the South extremity of the PreCambrian Shield, and there are tens of thousands
of small lakes, in this part of the country. Most are inacessible, except in winter, when they all freeze over, as there are no roads to most of them.
