Jonathan, Thanks for viewing and commenting on "ms amsterdam". The foreground had some foliage but was mostly barren. I used a clone stamp to fill in more foliage, but you detected the trick.

hi jonathan.
thanks so much for taking a look at "hope."
i really appreciate the comments you made.
and yes, i will surely clean my lenses. i also think a contributing problem was that it was taken in the car through a window, a very dirty window, apparently :]
have a good day.

everyone wants joy, no-one wants pain, but how can you make a rainbow without a little rain?

Thank you for commenting on "creating against the sky".
The open sky was an attempt at representing the unlimited possibilities of imagination.
It is all about how an image speaks to us and as I have learned, mine speak to me and few others. For me, any type of darkening would have destroyed the intention I had with the overall effect. One of the concepts was that inspiration was blinding and secondly that and perhaps more importantly that we as humans can not be expected to live in such illumination all the time and it is permissible to make mistakes

Thanks Jonathan for your kind comment on "Old Parkgate". This is somewhat of an experiment for me but I thought added atmosphere to the image of the old village and made it resemble an old fashioned photograph that would have been on something like a calendar.

Thanks for commenting on "Sea of Green". It is an amazing sight to see miles and miles of marsh where the River Dee once flowed. But it is even stranger to think that this was once a thriving and bustling port.

It turns out that "Blue Flower" is in fact called "Love-In A Mist". Isn't that a great name for a pretty flower?

Thanks Jonathan for your really kind comments on a few of my recent images. I've had great fun "playing" with my new 55-200mm zoom lens.I particularly like "...Not So Ugly" and I have it as my own wallpaper at the moment. I was very happy with the focus on the duckling considering the amount of cropping i needed to get this image. thanks for your support.
