Ivan is Russian in fact . . . I am a Tom Clancy fan (partial name inspiration) but I finally set this name in stone after playing Red Alert 2 (Crazy Ivan was a terrorist working for the Red Army that would blow up random buildings)

better go to St.Petersburg for the great architecture, it?s like northern Venice, all city in Ampere (neo baroque if know architecture), but actually i wouldnt suggest you to go to Russia at all ? its too criminal and too dangerous, you know mafia and all that, some say that we?re like the usa in the thirties, god damn anarchy...

You're right on. I was going to take the UV filter with me that day but had a brain fart. I tried to fix the levels in PS but to no avail. That's why I ended up with the watercolor effect B&W image of the wagon in the contest.

My second son is was given the name Ivan. Actually chose it himself. As my wife and I were driving up the 101 heading home to Ventura Ca., we were thinking of names, as any young couple does when expecting. Saying the names outloud, each time Ivan was said, he would kick. And not just on that day. Any time we would start naming names, he started kicking. I wasn't too keen on the name, but...you know children. He definately is an Ivan. Plays a mean guitar, drums and likes to cook. Turns 18 in a few days, so Happy Birthday to my son.

once again thanks for taking the time to review my pic COWSHED BY NIGHT

re your question ... there was a bit of experimentation with manual exposures but easy to check after using the lcd display on the back of the cam

i think i will try a version without the powerlines
but when i was posting this i thought about them and thought they worked well at that angle with the tyre tracks and line of the shadow of the fence to create an off picture vanishing point of sorts

also with this new cam im attempting to _practice_ as little photo manipulation as possible

i know i _can_ remove them héhé but i want to work with exactly what was there ;)

adjusting contrast, sharpening and exposure with some burning or blockout on other photos are a different matter

glad you enjoyed it :)
